Why didn’t he cave Ahri’s head in with his anchor.

It’s because she’s everybody’s waifu isn’t it.”

You say you're a shitty RPer when I know full well you're full of it.

How did they determine matchups in the first Dark Souls?  Was it just basically free for all or was it based on character level?

It depended on your covenant and the soul level of your character.

For co-op, you had to be 10 levels +/- 10% of character level to co-op.  So a level 100 could co-op down with a level 80, and as high as 120.

For Darkwraith invasions, the wraith can invade people up to 10 levels lower, but infinitely upward.  A level 1 Darkwraith could invade a level 387 full Havel’s shitstain, for example.  They are essentially always at a disadvantage.

For Darkmoon invasions, the bluecop can invade people up to 10 levels higher, but infinitely lower.  A level 387 full Havel’s shitstain Darkmoon could invade somebody as high as 397, and as low as 1 (So long as they had some degree of Sin accumulated).  They are essentially always at a level advantage.

I think Forest Covenant invades whoever the fuck steps in their forest.

I believe Gravelords have the same restrictions as co-op, with the unfortunate downside that they don’t really spawn red phantom enemies unless the infected world is NG+.

Unfortunately people whined about ‘twinking’ characters a lot, so From Software felt that they needed to add a restriction in Dark Souls 2.  They made it so that people’s soul counts are what determine who they can invade, which totally ruins the idea of making a character specifically to stay in one level range since - no matter what - you’re building soul currency.  There’s no reason not to level to the absolute max, since you’re actively gimping yourself by not increasing your stats, since you’ll be pitted against players who are investing their souls into new levels.

Dark Souls 1 already had a good anti-twinking mechanic, which unfortunately a lot of people fail to realize.

Just don’t turn human.

I can’t believe that a Souls game has released new DLC that I have little to no interest in buying / playing.

same feeling

idk, x-com is the only game i’ve had fun with for a while now.

everything else is just ‘i can go to the gym instead’ :(

I’m like insane for Souls shit though.  How is this possible, why did you fuck up invasions From jklfjdkslafs.

But yeah, XCOM has been surprisingly fun lately.  Getting close to TITAN ARMOUR.

Also was it just me or was New Game + super lonely?

Like I don’t think I saw a single player summon sign.

NG+ is when a lot of the multiplayer opens up, as far as invasions (Unfortunately)

The way they butchered invasions and soul memory in general is so unfortunate, it pretty much killed the game’s replayability for me.  Hurgh.

What is happening.

Played a little bit of Hearthstone in the WoW downtime.

I taught another Priest player a very valuable lesson in a Priest v Priest matchup: Never play two Northshire Clerics at once.
